Q. Main teacher?
A. Elizabeth

Q. Fave milongas?
A. All and keep ‘em coming!

Q. How many pairs?
A. 17, 10 in circulation (3 clunkers, 3 hardly- and 1 never-worn)

Q. Fave pairs?
A.
Sexy
Ruby: 3”+,  dark-cherry patent, Comme il Faut $140 (BA), because they’re comfy, improve my dancing, make my feet/legs look great and a few ladies threatened to steal them!
Raquel: 3”+, vivid turquoise suede, scalloped detail, silver-piping, butter-soft red leather lining and soles, Raquel Shoes $140 (BA), for the same reasons plus at least one person remarks on their hotness every time I strap ‘em on!
Trusted
Zara: 2.5”,  grey leather with leopard detail heel/strap. Or LBD: 2.5”, black suede, both Comme il Faut $175 (Rhythm & Motion), sexy and comfy “classic” shoes for a full night of serious dancing.
Isabel: 3” red/black suede, strappy black toe-overlay and in-step detail, solid construction, padded ball of foot, Guaranteed Fit Tango Shoes $135 (online), because they’re sexy, MOST comfy, and I’m good to go all-night long!
Nostalgic
Niki 3” cream leather with pattern-detail, black piping/strap, Flabella $80 (BA), classy, sexy, solid, great support, improve dancing, feet, legs and outfit, etc. Niki and I danced a lot in Buenos Aires, so…

Q. Biggest mistake?
A. Closed-toe dance shoes and practice shoes that are clunky, flimsy and pinchy. My feet slip out of shoes if there is a small toe-hold or smooth insole. I haven’t yet danced with Goldie as they’re too…gold!

Q. What shoes do you like on a tanguero?
A. Funky or classic tango shoes or sneakers. NOT those long extended-toe shoes as my feet get kicked and I lost a toenail once! They can’t be tango shoes, what gives?!
